Jarden commtrade is an online commodity matching platform which allows Registered Trading Users to place Bids and Offers for the purpose of identifying a Match in order to enter into a Spot Transaction on Standard Transaction Terms to:
- buy or sell NZUs with Jarden Securities Limited (acting as either a clearing broker or as principal on its own behalf). Jarden commtrade is not, and is not required to be, a licensed financial product market under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. This means that Users of Jarden commtrade do not have the same protections that they would have if dealing with a licensed financial product market.
- buy or sell Products with Jarden Australia Pty Limited AFSL 485 351 (Jarden Australia) (acting only as principal). Jarden commtrade is only available to wholesale clients (as defined in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth.) (Corporations Act). By operating Jarden commtrade, Jarden Australia Pty is not "operating a financial market" for the purposes of Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act.
By accessing and using the Jarden commtrade platform, you agree to be bound by the Jarden commtrade Terms and Operating Rules (including the limitations on our liability contained in them). The latest version of the Terms and Operating Rules is available on this site and capitalised terms are as defined in that document.
Jarden commtrade may provide indicative prices for New Zealand Units (NZUs), and Products (including Australian Carbon Credit Units and eligible international emissions units) which are for information purposes only. Jarden commtrade is not meant to be a recommendation or an opinion to buy or to sell NZUs or Products.
